Friends of Leadbeater’s Possum can visit your school to give a PowerPoint presentation on the possum, their habitat needs and conservation issues. The group is fortunate to have a number of very experienced teachers and environmental educators with many years of experience teaching about threatend species.
In return for an educational visit we ask schools to have already done some fundraising to be able to support Leadbeater’s Possums in the wild.
We are currently raising funds to install night time video monitoring cameras in the areas where the Adopt-A-Nest-Box program boxes are installed. The educator will present your school with a certificate on the day – which the children love. Some schools have been very innovative in their fundraising – one even had a ‘dress up as your favourite threatened species day’
