This is a celebratory tea towel to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of both the Leadbeater's Possum and Helmeted Honeyeater as Victoria's official faunal emblems on March 3, 1971. Get yours now to brighten up your kitchen.

The proclamation was made on March 3, 1971 and announced in the Government Gazette on March 10, a week later.

The proclamation acknowledged the importance these two unique species play in Victoria's environment.

The teatowel is meticulously designed and printed on organic cotton. While the printing is done locally the cotton is not manufactured in Australia - since Australia is the driest continent on the planet and cotton is very water intensive we are okay with that.
